Flavor

Flavor is defined by the ingredient. If the ingredient is chocolate, that is its flavor. Not to be confused with taste.

Ingredients carry their own characteristics even if they are mild, like rice for example. These traits of the ingredients contribute flavor. Some ingredient categories have more than others. For instance, oil has flavor, herb/spice has more. To understand this more clearly go to "SFS."
